Its part of good training
Taking them out for excessive is a good way to train them. These activities reinforce training and help them become more obedient and listen to their owners. Obedience training normally goes with an exercise routine, rewards and punishments. Exercises can also be used as a reward, especially for dogs that live in small homes and cannot play around the lawn or back yard.

It Helps Keep the Dog Used to Social Settings
Taking them out to the park or for a walk around the neighborhood helps then get used to other dogs and other people. Dogs that do not get to see other people tend to be more protective and might bark when they sense strangers in the surrounding. They might also do the same thing when it comes to other dogs. Dogs are also social animals and at times, they would look for companions. A nice walk outside will also keep them out of depression.

It Lets them Explore and Know their Surroundings
